If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you.

New news!

We all know I'm not one to blog every day so here I am catching you up on the past couple of weeks.
How about we start with the most recent and work our way back ..

  • So this morning/last night my love toy was so sweet to me, I fell asleep snuggling my book, he put a book mark in it for me and put it away! Then this morning he made me eggiess for breakfast & pealed me an orange because I get so frustrated with them. His greatness doesn't end there he did the dishes & made the bed!
  • We totally went down to the Point with Abbie Owens, her fetus, Melissa & Chris downs!!

  • I have been party planning like a crazy person for Ellie's first birthday
  • Game nights once every 2 weeks at our little place is such a riot! The last game night the Owens sisters ( Maddie & Abbie ) came over & we had a blasty blast like none other! We forced Maddie to sing & play her guitar and that girl has such a beautiful voice!
  • I took a weeks long vacation from cleaning & instead spent it napping . I have no idea why I have been in some kind of lethargic funky monkey mood that is totally killing my mojo. I feel like I'm missing out on so much, but I'm so tired. I think it could quite possibly be linked to the fact I have only 7 weeks left with my family until I leave for ft.lost in the woods Missouri & this just flat out depresses me.

Ellie has been up to a whole bunch of things like ....
  • The most epic fits I have ever seen an 11 mo & 22 day old baby ever throw.
  • When she throws a fit she slams her face on the ground which results in some gnarly bruises ...
  • She pooped a blood vessel on her face when she fell and hit her head on the corner of the bed.
  • Ellie is like Smeagol who is now corrupt and became the baby Gollum. She takes Alex's wedding ring and walks around with it every where! If you dare to take it from her ... she literally snarls at you, screams, makes grumpy faces... it doesn't end there if she drops it she frantically searches for it.... occasionally she will hold it close to her heart and I am almost positive she is thinking " My precious".
  • Her baby fits are only tamed by nap time or a time out suited for a baby Gollum. ... if she throws a  tantrum approximately at 10:00 am it results in a nap time .... after that I'm on my own & the only tricks I have up my sleeves are .. tell her no & to act like a lady.
  • She loves to get into the trash ... so grody
  • She eats my books & rips pages out of my vintage Dr. Seuss books.... is she possessed? I'm starting to believe so. Does it scare me? entirely .
  • Little Ellie is a good baby don't get me wrong, this is just a side of her I have never seen before. She still snuggles & smiles & laughs & does all those cute baby things she used to... I think she is just busy discovering the world around her ... One "NO" at a time.
Now to end with a couple cute pictures of Ellie...

These looks an be deceiving, she has plenty of screams and tantrums up those sleeves!

Till next time!

Just another manic monday!

I am beyond happy that today is indeed MONDAY!
My excitement blossomed from the fact that it is NO LONGER DRILL WEEKEND.

I have a true love/hate relationship with drill weekends.
Your constantly yelled at, doing push ups & marching in the heat until your feet are raw.
But in a mind boggling sadistic way after its all said and done, it is seriously fun.

The biggest drags have got to be :
  1. Going to the long drawn out, boring classes, that have to do with military stuff, rules so on and so forth.
  2. Chow - eating food that you don't necessarily want to eat (because sometimes its gross) & because if you don't eat it, your not going to eat anything until about 5:30pm when you get home
  3. standing at the position of attention & having an itch that's so bad you want to itch it but cant because if you do... your whole platoon is going to get smoked.
  4. Itching that itch - & getting smoked
My favorite attributes of drill weekends:
  1. I am getting paid to get the worlds BEST work out!
  2. Free food
  3. I get to work on my sock tan!
  4. Get to do crazy neat obstacle courses, paint ball, ultimate football, swim with all our gear on (might not sound like fun but when you are out side ALL DAY LONG in the summer heat .... its great fun)
  5. Getting stuck on gun duty while everyone else is out side in the heat!
  6. Learning to do Armed exhibition drills.
4:00 am got my PT uniform on
I tend to look jolly before Drill and after Drill weekend I tend to look kind of like this...
      Incredibly disturbing.

and today my amazingly generic Monday was spent laying on a lot of ice packs
On base trying to get my paper work all sorted out
Had lunch at La grande orange with My mother in law Nancy & Sister in law Kelly
& now I am back at home snuggling those ice packs..
      Here's to Manic Monday's !

Over the hills & through the woods to Grandpa & Grandma may's we went!

This past week the entire extended Don May family, a whole whopping 13 of us, flew out to Seattle Washington last week to spend a wonderful vacation with Grandpa Ed & Grandma Elly!

Where oh where do I begin? I guess I should start with the flight to Seattle....lets just say there was
a lot of screaming coming from row 20 & the little culprit was little Ms. Ellie May herself .

But thankfully she had her Nana who held her in the back of the plane until she passed out.
Lading, my oh my how I hate landing. My eyes hurt so bad they feel like they are going to bulge straight out of my face! I could only imagine how bad it felt for little Ellie.

My oh my was lake Sammammish BEAUTIFUL!  Grandpa & Grandma May have a darling house right on the lake with the most spectacular view!

We did a tun of activities like:

Even visited the troll under the bridge!

We attempted to mountain bike - but not ONE shop had enough bikes for us all

Our family was accidentally in a parade

& we saw some gnarly fireworks!

The entire time we were in Washington we feasted like kings! Every night we ate something different!
We had tostadas, pita pizzas, turkey burgers, tacos & a kick ass salad, salmon & burgers, lasagna & Shelby's Rolo cookies! & we even ate at the crab pot (if you ever visit Pikes market - STOP THERE AND EAT its worth it!)
